NY State SHOP Certified

If your small business buys a health insurance plan from a SHOP Certified insurance carrier in NY, your business can qualify for up to a 50% tax credit on the portion of premium that the business pays.   The SHOP certified carriers we currently work with are: EmblemHealth, HealthFirst, Oscar and MVP. 

The qualifications to receive the tax credits are:

1. The business must purchase a SHOP Certified plan.

2. The average salary of your employees must be below $53,000 per year.

3. The business must pay at least 50% of the premium cost on behalf of the employee.

4. The business has to have less than 25 employees.

5. All full time employees must be eligible for coverage.
